The Co residence's design intends to expand and combine indoor and outdoor space. The remodel relocated the entry redefining the patio at the center of the home permitting daylight to enter the main living spaces in the structure. The living room and dining room ceilings were increased to allow for large floor-to-ceiling windows and bi-fold doors visually expands living space into the outdoors. The family den steps down away from the living room into a comfortable and cozy theater space.
The exterior is cladded with a wood composite siding and a metal lattice. Upon approaching the entry, guests are presented with a large modern custom wooden pivot door. The foyer’s large windows create an inviting entrance to the Co home and one can see how the design embraces living space and outdoor living as one.
